Richard Meier (2014)
Something special for the die-hard fans of architecture and design. For over 50 years Richard Meier has created superb works of architecture. For all of those projects a wide range of architectural models were produced, either to investigate and explore the design or present the final project. A large number of those models have now been collected, curated and permanently exhibited by Richard Meier at MANA Contemporary in New Jersey. Along with sculptures, collages and a collection of publications from Meier’s personal library, visitors can view models of the Smith House, the Perry Street Towers, the recently completed Arp Museum in Germany, as well as large scale presentation models and study models of the Getty Center in Los Angeles, a project that took 15 years to complete.
The museum is open to visit from 10:00am to 5:00pm but be aware that tours of the gallery are open by appointment only. Appointments can be made through Richard Meier & Partners Architects: m.museum@richardmeier.com
