Nendo (2013-14)

Belgian chocolatier BbyB has opened a store in Ginza district of Tokyo (the first outside of Europe) designed by Nendo. Taking the existing BbyB ‘box-in-a-box packaging, Nendo have created a design where chocolates are displayed in a very neat regimented series of beautiful clear plastic display cases allowing the colouring and the packaging to be the total focus of attention.

Perhaps playing on the contrast between black and white chocolate, or just the black colour of coffee, at the rear of the white chocolate shop is a black cafe where you can order your favourite coffee and sample your chocolates.
