Tham & Videgård Arkitekter
The Tree Hotel by Tham & Videgård Arkitekter is a hotel room wrapped around a tree set in a pure natural setting.
The room is an aluminium framed, 4x4x4m cube clad in mirrored glass to reflect the natural surroundings and create a camouflaged refuge. It is accessed by a rope bridge and with the interior designed for 2 people with bed, bathroom, living space and roof terrace.
Tree Hotel is one part of a collection of accommodation on the site that also contains The Cabin, The UFO, The Blue Cone and the Bird’s Nest. A very unique way to getaway in a very unique location.
The Tree Hotel website writes:
‘Treehotel was inspired by the film ”The Tree Lover” by Jonas Selberg Augustsen. It’s a tale of three men from the city who want to go back to their roots by building a tree house together. “The Tree Lover” is a philosophic story about the significance of trees for us human beings.’
