Six Degrees Architects and Studio Round (2013-15)
Brae is a highly regarded, highly commended restaurant where chef Dan Hunter and partner Julianne Bagnato have provided a total dining experience since December 2013. The Brae website explains that ‘the restaurant uses produce from the surrounding land and local farmers to offer a unique, contemporary cuisine built around an immense respect for nature and seasonality.’
In early 2016 Brae added accommodation for lunch or dinner guests to enjoy an extended stay. As with the restaurant, that accommodation of only six luxury suites was designed by Six Degrees Architects with interiors by Studio Round. Inspired by local shed architecture (utilising environmentally friendly principals including rainwater storage, solar power and biological waste systems) it is carefully considered, skilfully designed and beautifully detailed.
Some beautiful, understated luxury to complement the exceptional and inspired food.
